Our Teachers

Karen Joubert (Studio Owner)
 

Karen has extensive dance, pilates and fitness training experience, both locally and international.​ She spend 3 years in London studying Dance, Fitness & Pilates. While in the UK she not only gained experience by teaching Pilates & Dance classes, but also competed in various International Dance Competitions including the World Disco & Freestyle Championship, where she placed 4th in the slow dance division as well as various Ballroom & Latin competitions including the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival.

 

Karen has been a dancer since the age of 3 when she took up Ballet. Through the years she added Modern Dance, Competitive Figure Skating and Sport Aerobics to her experience. She worked with well know World Class National & International trainers who taught her the art of movement and the science behind body control and flexibility. 

 

Along with Pilates & Dance, Karen also spend time studying Personal Training & Nutrition. She spend 2 years competing in various Bikini Fitness Shows to gain experience on dieting & training for weight-loss and toning.
